Yue Di
Graduate Student Research Assistant
Yue Di is a Ph.D. student in Measurement and Quantitative Methods at Michigan State University, also pursuing a master’s degree in Applied Statistics. Her research applies experimental and quasi-experimental designs along with causal inference methods to strengthen the validity and interpretation of education policy evaluations. Yue has contributed to a range of research projects across multiple institutes, including university dropout prediction, formative assessment evaluations, the effects of additional schooling years, and counselors' efficacy in promoting college-going outcomes. Her analysis toolkit includes R, SPSS, MPlus, Stata, SAS, and Python. Beyond research, she has served as a teaching assistant for introductory quantitative methods courses at MSU and designed STEM curricula for young kids. She has received the Erickson Research Fellow Award and two Summer Research Fellowships from the MSU College of Education. Outside of academia, Yue loves detective movies, trivia games, and strolling through supermarkets. If she weren't in educational statistics, she'd likely be a detective — or run her own supermarket.
