John Lutes

Student Research Assistant

John Lutes is an undergraduate research assistant studying civil engineering with a concentration in municipality. Throughout his studies, he has worked with MT Engineering, LLC in Hillsdale, MI, where he worked on projects using AutoCAD software and was a field inspector at a water main replacement project in Reading, MI. Joining the Julian Samora Research Institute has been a great opportunity to work in research and expand his knowledge outside of engineering. His goal after college is to stay in Michigan and focus on the municipal side of civil engineering, providing new design and construction for public infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and water supply to enhance the life of Michigan residents. Outside of engineering and work, he enjoys disc golf, camping, and working on vehicles.
