Craig Wesley Carpenter

Craig Wesley Carpenter is an Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist in Community Economics and Business Development at Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and an Extension Specialist at Michigan State University Extension. He is located both in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Texas A&M University and in the Community, Food, and Environment Institute at Michigan State University Extension. Dr. Carpenter’s research expertise includes the interaction of race, ethnicity, entrepreneurship, and economic growth. He integrates his applied research into Extension and outreach programs in Texas, Michigan, and across the country. His research uses limited-access federal administrative data on millions of businesses and individuals to conduct much of his research in the Federal Statistical Research Data Center system.
